Harry

Amy Booth Wasseluk

Mom, Wife, Artist.  Amy lives in rural Canton Connecticut with her builder Husband Steve, 2 beautiful daughters: Lucy & Sophie, their giant Newfoundland dog Harry, and a crew of chickens.  During the mornings Amy is a high school visual arts teacher and in the afternoons, mom and painter extraordinaire.

With a lifelong love of animals and art, the exploration of animals as her primary inspiration came with the homecoming of her first dog, a lab/bulldog mix that grew into 115 lbs of pure love, Mo.  While in college, and working a job at Flamig Farm, Mo and other farm critters became inspiration for an abundance of artwork.  As life progressed, her artwork progressed as well.  At times the subjects and inspiration have varied but the love of animals has remained.  After having 2 babies, completing her Masters degree and settling into life, Amy's passion for painting animals returned with a gusto.

Now, Amy captures her love for animals through expressive paintings on a variety of wood;  Incorporating her husbands media of wood with her media of painting while emphasizing a more rustic and rural feel to the paintings.
